Huawei to Construct CDMA Network for Nigerian Multi-Links

Chinese Huawei has been chosen by Nigerian telecom Multi-Links as a BTS (Base Transceiver Stations) and core network softswitch provider and will help Multi-link deploy a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) 2000 1X network in several cities, including Lagos, Abuja, PHC, Kamo, Ibandam, and Kaduna. 70% of the orders, equivalent to US$100 million, is awarded to Huawei and the remaining 30% goes to Nortel.
